Rev. Dr. Curt D. Keller will be the part time coordinator of PCC beginning Aug. 1, 2021. In this position Dr. Keller will help oversee the CAP program relate with clergy on issues related to that program. He will also help get information out about CAP and PCC. He will work with the new staff person for Director of Ministerial Excellence and the future of PCC.
Keller has a BA from Wabash College in French and Religion, an MDiv from Vanderbilt University and a DMin from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He also has post doctoral work in marriage and family therapy. Besides being an ordained United Methodist Church minister serving under appointment since 1983, he was also a licensed marriage and family therapist seeing clients for about 30 years. He retired from seeing clients in January of 2021 and placed a hold on his license. He was a former president of the Illinois Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is a current board member of ILAMFT. Rev. Dr. Keller has many years of experience working with Employee Assistance Programs (our CAP) and should be insightful and helpful for those needing help with our CAP program.
Rev. Dr. Keller currently serves the Hudson UMC. His wife died July 3, 2021, and a son died in 2012. He has a son who is a musician in Nashville, TN. He serves on the board of the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States and helps others understand this genetic myopathy.
